(on a sick one) - NOISE TOUR - heady eug to murder bridge, we strengthen bonds, connect new dots and chill hard - feat The Zero Collective
august 2025 - Pacific Northwest-Zero Bag tour 1

This noise tour was epic and full of spontaneous road moments.
Many of the shows were cancelled with very little notice.
Decay olympia was shut down. A particularly brutal cancellation
The changing itinerary didn’t stop Jess or I from enjoying ourselves one bit.
This was both art time and friend time but also precious time outside the awful conditions of juggling crumbling babylon system existences.
We played Eugene first at the Doll House , then in Olympia at Le Voyuer, then in Seattle under a large bridge.
Some friends informed me the seattle bridge was now known as the “murder bridge” after a murder the week before, this was as we were arriving in olympia. Our olympia friends almost within the same beat, texted me that our favorite venue Decay had been shut down that day. It was he nemesis of any diy artist; city code enforcement.

One time in chicago the city inspectors were such a paranoid topic that we took all eight of our beds from the little rooms we constructed in like half the 5k sq ft warehouse and hoisted them into a cloud installation. Its fun looking back at the time it was so hectic, we just wanted to have a building to make and share art in…….
Zyphonic’s set was so killer! I got a great video of it. He opened up the show. There wasnt many spectators, for a while it was a special artists only vibe, which i always treasure.

Abel is one of the main players in the glue that keeps a very special corner of olympia arts going.
I will never forget some shows i have played with only the performers present and a few other heads.
One with Jess actually comes to mind at Tracey Trance’s ranch around 2018. We took some hippy paper and had a really special show inside Trace’s trailer.
Video below speaks to this and other super inspirational topics from a jazz point of view.
Jazz players are some of my most venerated heroes . A goal of mine is to learn music theory mostly to learn jazz theory…wish me luck!
My first time playing in Seattle, we made a sick t.a.z. under the bridge.

Some younger folks i know in Eugene told me this bridge had a murder under it the week before.
Apparently rave crews were being irresponsible; throwing massive events with no thoughts of public safety, making sure minors aren’t getting impaired, harm reduction, etc.
Through the lense of the current culture this led to promoters being cancelled, and even artists who still play shows under that bridge in the same community being cancelled.
At first glance, i couldn’t believe that a generator spot (the epitome of an anarchiste takeover) could be cancelled, but then i realized the "rave scene” incurs a much heavier burden of responsibility than the “people making weird noises for free - $40 scene”.
I try to skirt the edge between the two scenes; my art makes sense in both contexts.
